A Snowy Day

I'm convinced because I am the reason we've hardly had any snow this winter, all because I bought the girls snow pants. When we came back to Nova Scotia in early December I figured we would see at least a few snow storms. I didn't want the girls to be cooped inside when the snow started falling so I invested in pants. Pants they will probably never wear once we get back to Washington. We've had one snowy day since the snow pants arrived.

Not even a week old, we bundled Isla up and head out for a walk as the big flakes fell from the sky. You know, the kind that you just want to walk with your tongue hanging out to catch them all. We made snow angels, a little snowman, threw snow balls and Isla even got a taste of snow when Lucy decided to bop her in the face with her snow-covered mitten. Sisterly love. When we got back to the house it was near impossible to get the girls inside. My Mom bought them tiny shovels and they were determined to take all the snow my Dad shovelled that morning and put it back on the drive way. They said they were "making a castle" and who am I to argue that? Those cute rosy cheeks can trick me into just about anything, especially a warm cup of hot chocolate and extra marshmallows.
