Our good week has rolled into another one. I am loving having life being kind to me after how rocky November and December were. I was feeling stressed out about getting Isla's birth certificate but it came in yesterday and we ordered her passport the same day. It took more phone calls than I would have liked to get her certificate rushed but it goes to show that persistence pays off. I'm hoping that same mindset pulls through in other parts of my life as the next few weeks play out. Time is back on the fast track.
The girls and I have been staying home a little more than usual lately. With the winter flu bug floating around and a new baby, I am hesitant to take them to too many public places. Suddenly I'm that paranoid person but I am not interested in getting sick this winter. It's meant a lot of Disney movies, dress up and jumping on the bed. Some days we don't even get out of our jammies. I've been making a conscious effort to put my phone away when we're together to really enjoy this stage of motherhood. I don't want my girls to have memories of me ignoring them when all they want is my attention and praise for the things they are learning. I am constantly amazed and proud of the little people they are becoming and I am grateful this is the role I get to fulfill. I mean, look at that smile on my Lu-bug. All the heart eyes.
