New Home

I've been dreaming about this picture for weeks, maybe even months since I found out where we would be moving. We are officially back in Calgary and I keep pinching myself to make sure this is real life. 1) I never thought I'd live in this city again but 2) I never thought I'd get to live in a house this beautiful. It is easily the prettiest place I have ever lived. We are renting from a good friend of mine and it has been one of the biggest blessings of this year. Not only has this friend emotionally been there for me but she lightened my stress big time when she offered this living situation to us. I can hardly drag my feet out of the kitchen because it's so pretty. Living here, all two days of it is making me feel so good.

Our move went as smooth as it could. I gradually packed from the day I got back to Washington until the day we got the truck. We had a handful of family members help us load up and it alleviated so much stress. One blessing had a domino effect on the next and when the moving truck arrived in Calgary, there were almost a dozen people waiting to help unload it. I almost cried hearing such good news, immediately saying a prayer of gratitude. The girls and I got in hours later to a house full of boxes and a tired Dad. We were all ready to crash after being in the car from before sunrise to after sunset.

Now it feels like we're in a permanent state of unpacking but we're getting there. We've tested our relationship over building IKEA projects and lets just say we're all glad that's done. The girls are proud owners of bunk beds, loving all the space and reuniting with toys they haven't seen for awhile. Being in Calgary is a good thing. The snow sucks but otherwise we're happy to be back for this fresh start.
