What season is it?

It's been a week of unpacking, decorating for Halloween and trying to refrain from singing Christmas carols. I keep forgetting it's still October as the snow falls and the cool air keeps us inside. I need to get my tough skin back on because as of right now I have no desire to be outside. The girls and I did go outside to play one afternoon and I ended up slipping twice. Once on the playground, bruising the inside of both calves and then down a hill, injuring my shoulder. Do I sound old or what?

When we got home from our play date we found our first package since we arrived at the house, some unicorn headbands from Fancy Free Finery. I can't tell you how happy I am that we found that little shop this year. We love their flowers and as big unicorn lovers this creation is the dream combination. The flower comes attached on a clip, making it great for imaginative play and for every day use. We got the satin covered headband in ballet pink and sugar plum. You can get your own here

I loved the girls outfits on this particular day. Sophia styled herself and I found myself wishing I could wear the same outfit. I hope someday we reach a point where she is so stylish that she starts shopping for and dressing me. Perks of having daughters, right? I am in constant admiration of these little beauties. They test every ounce of my patience during the day but one hug or "Mom, I wuv you" and they reset it all. It's the best being their Mom and I love being back in Alberta with them, snow and all. Merry Thursday!
