Asleep Sitting Up

It's been one of those weeks where I've either fallen asleep sitting up (currently) or potentially could have been sleep walking through my daily routine. I feel like a baby because one second I am bright eyed and bushy tailed and two seconds later I am practically snoring. Fortunately this week is coming to an end and the sun is shining. We came down with the weirdest cold last week and it kicked mine and Sophia's butt this week. I was a sore man voice all last weekend. By Monday I could hardly swallow or talk. I was whispering by the end of the day. Sophia was complaining of ear discomfort. On Tuesday she woke up with her eyes glued shut with goop. It was disgusting. That lasted for three days and tonight she was finally seeming clear and on the mend. I am better now too but for days I was miserable. I didn't get sick at all in the last year so to be sick for more than a week was foreign to me. I think we've all got a little cabin fever over here.

On a positive note, I'm confident I lost my voice last week because I needed to. Some aspects in my life have me sitting on some anger and everything felt like it was boiling this week. I really wanted to get it all out but I'm sure a few unkind words would have left my mouth if I did. It was for the better that I couldn't talk. Instead I'm back working out; time to lose this baby weight. Isla wakes up and smiles every time I'm about to start as if to say "no losing the weight I helped you put on." She is the cutest little trouble maker and I am way out of shape. I am also beyond tired according to how many times my eyelids have closed and my hands have fallen beside me. Time to drag this body up to bed and hope everyone sleeps in. Oh wait, that's after I pump one more time for today because apparently Isla isn't a fan of nursing. Whyyyyy. Good night! Happy weekend!
